5 out of 5 stars great for tall babies!   October 27, 2007

This is the 3rd walker I bought, but the only one I didn't return. I can finaly stop my search. The others that I tried were either not tall enough for my son or would not move as freely as I hoped. This walker does it all. The musical toy is great, it even comes with crip attachment if you want to put it up. My son is very tall, but in this walker he does not have to bend at the knees and is actually able to walk. It's very solid and I don't worry about him fliping forward when he is trying to reach for something. I highly recommend this product.

Well done, Chicco! It is kind of expensive for a walker but the quality and thoughtful design are worth it. And seeing my little guy zipping around with a smile on his face the second we put him in it was priceless. :)
+ Smooth ride, very easy for baby to maneuver
+ Height is adjustable; the lowest setting is just right for my average-height 6.5 month old. I'm happy to know it will grow with him.
+ Funky, modern designs; Gender neutral patterns and colors
+ Folds down fairly flat, feels light but sturdy
+ Smooth lines, no ugly toys or gimmicky themes all over it
+ Removable DJ toy tray; clever interface with "real-world" details that my musician husband appreciates, like a joystick, drumpad, jog/shuttle wheel that trigger appropriate sounds/effects
+ Animals sounds, music and scales are fun and not too annoying (yet)
~ Colors are slightly less saturated than they appear on screen, but still sunny and pleasant
~ My home has all hardwood floors and does not have stairs so I can't speak to the performance on carpeting or efficacy of the safety bumpers.

5 out of 5 stars best walker yet   January 18, 2008

We purchased this for my seven month old. He loves it and can manuever very easily unlike some of the bulkier walkers. (We had the jeep one and the sesame beginnings which were hard for our first child to get around in.) He can turn corners easily without any threat of tipping over. My 4 year old even constantly hangs on the back (despite my nagging) and the walker remains secure. It is adorable to look at and very gender neutral. Both my kids enjoy the musical buttons which even has a piano setting to play little musical notes. The music board is also removable so my little one can enjoy it on the floor as well. I highly recommend this walker.

My baby absolutely loves this walker! He insisted on being held all the time until his walker arrived. Now I am able to put him in his walker long enough to make dinner. We both love our moments of freedom. We bought the walker when he was 4 months old, but didn't really think that he would be ready for it - we were wrong. We put him in it and moments later he was chasing the cat and following his older siblings around.

The walker has the best construction of any walker I have seen - by a long shot. The base is wide enough that my 4-year-old twins have been able to play with their brother without tipping the walker, and anyone with a four-year-old knows how rough they can be on toys and baby gear. The musical toy is also great. My baby is six months old now and loves to push the buttons. The sounds aren't annoying and high-pitched like some electronic toys, and he likes the animal sounds it makes (especially the kitty meow). He also likes it when we remove the toy and place other toys on the tray. When he is ready, I also imagine that the tray will be great for cheerios and other snacks. My cat would probably give this walker zero stars, but I would give it 10 if I could!

5 out of 5 stars Love It!   February 18, 2008

I ordered this for my daughter on Feb 8 and it arrived at our door step on Feb 11th. We were so excited that we put it together right away and put her in it...immediately she figured out that putting her hands on the buttons made sounds and she loved it. Her eyes were filled with wonder as she inquisitively explored the various toys. Everytime we put her in it she'll spend the first 5 mins playing with the toys. Once she's had enough of it then will she look up and look for us & tries to move around. Because she is only 3.5 months old & her feet don't quite touch the floor completely even at the lowest setting so we padded the adjustable component with rolled up cardboard so that the walker sits lower to the floor just a bit more for her feet to reach. (We put a good amount of weight to the test to make sure the card board would not give into the weight since we would not want the walker to all of a sudden fold down while she's in it...we eventually replaced the cardboard with a paint stick) We've probably put her in it a hand full of times, and yesterday she actually walked in it!! We couldn't believe that a 3.5 months old was roaming the house in this walker. We have hardwood floor on the whole first floor so she'd slide around very easily, we'd have to rescue her whenever she runs into the corner of the wall and puts herself in timeout though. But even when that happens she just plays with the toys when she's stuck. She loves this and we'd highly recommend it. 6/18/08 Update: she is now 7 months and is already trying to walk. She climbs everything in sight and grabs hold and stands...I can't help but think if she is so advanced for her age because we started her off in this walker very early on and therefore she had a full grasp of the concept of walking and moving around. Needless to say from 3.5-7 months, she enjoyed the walker immensely, and it gave both her and I so~ much freedom. She would fly around the house estatic, and mastered reversing and turning quickly. Now at 7 months and standing, she is not as interested in sitting in this walker so I'm on a search for something that will continue to give her the independence to explore and learn with little or no help from me...maybe the "walking wings" next?!?
