This set contains 36 natural blocks and 14 colored blocks, designed to reinforce the creative process, expand children's thinking ability and stimulate their imagination. Made from organic rubberwood using only water-based, non-toxic dyes. Playtime Ideas: ? Children can differentiate the various shapes and colors of blocks, count the number and group them by shapes or colors. ? Allow children to design blocks as they like; this will help to stimulate their imagination and creativity. ? Children can build designs using the blocks to create castle, town, or anything that strikes their imagination. ? Telling stories will also help develop their language skill. Organic Rubberwood: These toys are made with clean, natural rubberwood from rubber trees which no longer produce latex. To keep the rubberwood pure, no fertilizer is added to the soil for three years before the trees are cut. To strengthen the wood, the manufacturer uses a special chemical-free kiln drying process. Non-Toxic E-Zero Glue: These toys are assembled using a proprietary, non-formaldehyde E-Zero glue. Water Based Dye: These toys are not colored dyes containing lead or any other heavy metals. The manufacturer uses only safe, non-toxic water-based dyes on all of their toys. Recycled and Recyclable Material: The manufacturer uses recycled and recyclable material to minimize their impact on the environment. Soy & Water-based Ink: Soy and water-based inks are used on our printed materials. These inks are more readily biodegradable and can be recycled more efficiently than standard chemical ink.

Love everything PlanToys because they are an eco-friendly company. These are great blocks, love that some are painted(with non toxic paint), love that most are natural, made of rubber wood. My son received these for his 1st birthday. They are smaller than most of his other blocks and he tends to bite these. More appropriate for a 2 year old.
